Description

We empower vulnerable groups in Romania through digital education. We advance gender equality in tech and combat antigipsism.

Code for Community Association bridges the digital divide and promotes social inclusion in Romania through interactive tech education. We empower vulnerable groups—particularly women, youth, and the Roma community—by teaching digital literacy and combating structural discrimination, including antigipsism. Our core work includes building accessible web tools and running non-formal tech workshops. Our project ideas center on advancing gender equality in tech, enhancing digital safety for marginalized groups, and fostering resilience through technology.

Competence and Expertise Offered

We offer strong technical expertise in full-stack web development and building secure platforms. Educationally, we specialize in non-formal, interactive digital literacy curricula tailored for vulnerable communities. We also provide direct grassroots access to marginalized groups in rural Romania, backed by established local partnerships with schools and public institutions.

Expertise sought

We seek partners with proven frameworks in empowering minority women and combating structural discrimination. We want to exchange best practices in delivering digital safety and health (SRHR) workshops for vulnerable groups. Expertise in creating safe spaces, community outreach, and combating gender-based violence is highly valued to help us co-design effective educational modules.
