Description
APPDI is a Portuguese non-profit that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and in society.
APPDI is a Portuguese non-profit promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in workplaces and society, and manager of the Portuguese Diversity Charter with 100+ signatory organisations. Our main fields are DEI training and awareness-raising, strategy advice, benchmarking tools and peer-learning networks. Possible project ideas: inclusive recruitment linking employers to under-represented talent; DEI capacity-building for SMEs and NGOs; an inclusion-maturity benchmarking tool; and transnational exchange of good practices.
Competence and Expertise Offered
APPDI offers practical DEI expertise built through managing the Portuguese Diversity Charter and working with 100+ organisations. We deliver training (unconscious bias, gender equality, disability, cultural diversity, LGBTI+ inclusion), advise on DEI strategies and policies, and create tools, benchmarks and good-practice guides. We facilitate peer-learning networks and events, run awareness campaigns, mobilise a wide employer network, and conduct applied research on workplace inclusion.
Expertise sought
We seek a partner with expertise in monitoring and countering hate speech and discrimination, and in coordinating civil society organisations. The partner would help design our permanent rapid-response and monitoring network, contribute to capacity-building for grassroots and minority-led organisations, and support advocacy towards decision-makers. We especially value experience in documenting hate speech and articulating civil society with public authorities.
