Description

ACTUAR is a Portuguese development NGO working since 2007 to promote sustainable food systems, human rights, agroecology and territorial development.

ACTUAR works on sustainable food systems, agroecology, Right to Adequate Food, territorial development, human rights, rural women rights and civil society participation, with experience in Europe, Africa and Latin America. Potential projects include strengthening local food systems and agroecological transitions; empowering rural communities and women; co-producing, systematizing and sharing territorial knowledge; connecting knowledge with public policies; and building partnerships and networks for climate justice, sustainable territories and social change.

Competence and Expertise Offered

ACTUAR offers expertise in multi-actor cooperation, network facilitation and partnership building, participatory processes, knowledge co-production and systematization, and linking local experience with policy processes. We bring extensive experience in facilitating international networks, peer learning and exchange, capacity strengthening, and collaborative initiatives across Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Expertise sought

ACTUAR seeks partners with complementary expertise in sustainable food systems, climate justice, territorial development, civic participation and agroecology, particularly organisations rooted in local contexts and engaged in knowledge generation and policy processes. We are interested in peer learning, co-creation and exchange across contexts, as well as in building long-term partnerships, networks and joint initiatives for social and territorial change.
