EduAct Romania is a non-profit founded in 2022, working in rural and urban schools identified by the World Bank as educationally vulnerable. Each year we support 1,400+ children through three connected programmes: remedial literacy and maths with a hot meal (primary), digital literacy and self-knowledge (middle school) and career guidance with companies (high school). When needed, we create infrastructure. Across all three we see the same thing: a teenager’s emotional state shapes attendance, results and dropout. Our next step is building an ecosystem to support their emotional health.

Competence and Expertise Offered

Direct access to rural/urban schools, teachers, families and local authorities in Romania, with daily on-the-ground implementation. Experience designing and running education programmes from primary to high school, including career guidance delivered with companies. Strong communication and campaign skills: national awareness campaigns on school dropout. Practical measurement of attendance, learning progress and student feedback, reported to partners.

Expertise sought

We seek a Norwegian partner with experience in adolescent emotional wellbeing and youth participation: school-based wellbeing programmes, youth surveys used by public institutions, or student councils and youth-led advocacy. We want to learn how to measure wellbeing ethically, involve young people in decisions that affect them, and help schools and local authorities act on what they hear. Knowledge exchange, a study visit and methodology review.
