Yuppi Camp offers free experiential therapy programs for children with chronic illnesses, building confidence, self-advocacy, resilience, and joy.
Yuppi Camp empowers children and young people with chronic illnesses through experiential therapy, self-advocacy, and psychosocial support. Our work combines free therapeutic camps, hospital programs, peer support, youth leadership, advocacy training, community initiatives, and awareness programs for schools and professionals. We develop participatory models that help young people build confidence, know their rights, advocate for themselves, and create more inclusive communities.
Competence and Expertise Offered
We bring over 15 years of expertise in experiential therapy for children and young people with chronic illnesses, combined with proven experience in developing participatory self-advocacy models. We can contribute methodologies for youth empowerment, peer support, experiential learning, hospital and therapeutic programs, volunteer management, stakeholder engagement, and inclusive program design, backed by research and practical implementation.
Expertise sought
We seek partners with expertise in children’s rights, patient advocacy, and self-advocacy for young people with chronic illnesses. We are particularly interested in Nordic models for implementing and monitoring the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), strengthening advocacy mechanisms, and combating bullying and misinformation through teacher training, school-based programs, and youth participation.
