Åpenhet is a Norwegian non-profit based in Oslo. We have for over 10 years supported advocacy, awareness raising and promoted fact-based policy making
Åpenhet can provide practical expertise in data management and visualisation, digital tools, monitoring and knowledge management, communication and dissemination to impact evidence-based policymaking. It can also support capacity building and knowledge exchange between Beneficiary and Donor States. Åpenhet has developed and supported solutions for organisations e.g OECD, IUCN, WMO, TI, UNESCO, and can draw on a wider network to also connect partners with other suiteble Norwegian partners
Competence and Expertise Offered
We have successfully implemented more then 20 EEA grant projects. We implement communication and dissemination tools and take responsibility for implementation of tech and bilateral activities. Selected project example: COMPETENCE project (EEA and Norway Grants, 2020–2023) to build the intercultural and communication competencies of public service staff for municipalities and NGOs across six countries: Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Norway, and Greece. Coordinated a five-work-package structure spanning cross-country research, reciprocal study visits and stakeholder conferences, along with the co-development of a shared training curriculum piloted locally by each partner. Led the project’s communication strategy, including a closing dissemination conference to extend the training model to public bodies beyond the consortium.
