Description

We are an NGO promoting children’s rights and preventing child abuse since 2014, aligned with the UN Declaration on the Rights of the Child.

Caminhos da Infância operates across five strategic areas: 1) early childhood development, 2) parental support, 3) advocacy for children’s rights, 4) professional training, and 5) youth participation through NEW GEN, a programme promoting democratic engagement and civic participation. We have extensive experience in community-based interventions, family support, child protection and social innovation. We are open to collaborating on awareness-raising campaigns, youth participation initiatives, training activities, research projects, and advocacy actions promoting children’s rights.

Competence and Expertise Offered

We offer expertise in children’s rights, child protection, early childhood development, parental support, community-based interventions, and social innovation. We have extensive experience in designing and implementing awareness-raising campaigns, research and advocacy initiatives, and participatory approaches involving children and young people. We also bring expertise in youth engagement, democratic participation, and the meaningful inclusion of young people in decision-making processes.

Expertise sought

We are seeking partners with expertise in youth participation, democratic engagement, and implementing Art. 12 of the UN CRC. We are particularly interested in exchanging best practices, methodologies, and tools to strengthen meaningful youth participation in decision-making at local, national, and international levels. We also welcome collaboration on awareness-raising, capacity-building, advocacy, and projects that empower young people to become active contributors to democratic society.
