Description
Independent, non-partisan Slovak think tank founded in 2024. We turn expert analysis into actionable reforms in healthcare, education and governance.
FSF works on evidence-based public policy through four expert groups: healthcare, education, public finance and decentralisation. Our flagship initiative, Healthy Future of Slovakia, is a health-reform framework for 2027–2035 built by 15+ senior experts and framed as democratic oversight of one of Slovakia’s largest public systems. Project ideas: civic watchdog of health-reform commitments (policy notes, public dashboard, regional roundtables beyond Bratislava), participatory dialogue between citizens and institutions, and transfer of Nordic transparency and participation practice.
Competence and Expertise Offered
A network of 20+ experts across health policy, public finance, education and public administration, incl. former senior health officials and academics. We offer policy analysis and reform design, evidence-based watchdog and advocacy methodology, convening of government, academia and professional bodies, and clear public communication of complex reforms. Track record: awarded an EU-funded (CERV) capacity grant; lead of a five-partner Visegrad Fund consortium on health policy.
Expertise sought
We seek a Norwegian partner experienced in citizen participation, accountability and watchdog work on public services, patient/user involvement in health policy, or youth civic education. Goal: a bilateral partnership under the EEA Civil Society Fund in Slovakia – joint project design, study visits and transfer of Nordic good-governance practice. FSF can act as lead applicant in Slovakia and offers access to Slovak policy networks, data and visibility in the national reform debate.
