Description
IKReON is a youth and adult education NGO in Ružomberok, Slovakia. We help young people build skills, lead their own ideas and join civic life.
Non-formal education for young people (15-30) and adults in Liptov, northern Slovakia: youth participation, digital and AI literacy, entrepreneurship and the arts. Since 2022 we have run Erasmus+ youth exchanges, training courses and partnerships, and we organise Make It Move, a dance event with 1,400+ young dancers. Project idea: young people audit how their municipalities involve them after the October 2026 local elections, draft a model statute for a municipal youth council with the right to be heard, and present it to the new councils. Small Grant, Call No.1, output 1.1.
Competence and Expertise Offered
Youth participation methods and non-formal learning design; recruitment of young people in small towns and villages; experience in writing and managing Erasmus+ and EU projects (application, budget, quality assurance, reporting); the UN Youth Delegate of Slovakia on the team; digital tools for participation; local links with schools, the town and regional youth structures.
Expertise sought
A Norwegian partner experienced with youth councils (ungdomsråd) or youth participation in local democracy: an NGO, youth organisation or municipality. We seek know-how on how youth councils work under the Local Government Act, how they are heard by the municipal council, and how members are trained.
